The Story Behind Smother Love

Smother Love was created from a lifetime of family, tradition, and passion for bringing people together through great food.

My love for cooking started at a young age, learning in the kitchen alongside my father, Ernest Cordova. For nearly 20 years I helped prepare food, learned the importance of quality ingredients, and developed a deep appreciation for the flavors and traditions passed down through my family.

My grandparents Stella and Alex Cordova, hardworking pioneers who built their own legacy in Denver’s food community. Their dedication creativity, and commitment to serving people inspired generations of our family and helped shape my own journey in the kitchen.

Smother Love is my personal expression of that journey, taking flavors and memories I grew up with and adding my own touch. Our chili is made with care, passion, and goal of creating something that brings people together around the table
